Client: personal concept design
Waikato Udon is an authentic Japanese-style noodle restruant specializes in handmade udon noodles located on an old street in Hamilton. The restaurant has become deeply rooted in the local community, attracting a loyal customer base, and even drawing food enthusiasts from other areas who seek out its unique flavors.

The small restruant is run by a couple, and due to a limited budget during its initial opening, the noodle shop had only a basic logo design. Other aspects of brand visual design were kept simple, and there was no consistent visual branding design.

The goal is to retain its original brand essence and based on its existing visual elements, reemphasize its significant cultural core within the local cultural context. While controlling budget expenditures, the objective is to supplement and enhance the basic visual design necessary for the daily operations of the restruant, making it a more recognizable presence within the neighborhood.
